Kara Vincak joined the Foundations to Freedom team last March as our Transportation Specialist, bringing with her not only dedication and reliability, but lived experience that deeply connects her to the mission. This month, Kara proudly celebrated three years clean—a milestone that reflects her strength, perseverance, and commitment to recovery.

One of Kara’s goals is to continue growing within Foundations to Freedom and become a Case Manager, allowing her to work even more closely with clients as they build stable, healthy futures. What Kara values most about her role is the opportunity to share resources and support that help clients truly succeed, especially when they are serious about their recovery journey.

Her favorite part of working at Foundations? Being able to reach out, connect, and work alongside others in recovery—offering encouragement, understanding, and hope from a place of genuine experience.

Kara’s personal accomplishments are inspiring. She recently completed coursework for her CRPS certificationpurchased her own home, and is joyfully expecting a baby girl in March. In addition, Kara volunteers with DCF, participating in foster parenting calls to help educate and support families seeking certification.

Kara’s story is a powerful reminder of what recovery can make possible, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as part of the Foundations to Freedom family.
